Synthetic
Stucco
Synthetic Stucco is the typical choice of architectural engineers
today. It is a thin coat of stucco over a 1" foam base, it is a
lighter, more flexible acrylic-based alternative to cement stucco,
which initially was a mixture of hydrated lime, sand and water,
which used straw as a binder.
Known as Exterior Insulation and Finish Systems or EIFS, synthetic
stucco is popular because it is fast and easy to apply, could be
colored, and combines siding and insulation in one product.
